BONUS TRACKS / RARITIES

BABYFACE - "Reason For Breathing" (:32)
This was the early version of the song released to radio stations (accidentally?), and if you listen close, you can hear the subtle differences between it and the version actually released on the album (for example, this version has more keyboards as opposed to acoustic guitar on the album version).

BOYZ II MEN - "Just Hold On" (:30)
This international release bonus track from the Boyz' 'Evolution' was written and produced by Babyface. After hearing it, you may wonder why it was left off of the U.S. version of the album.

THE DEELE - "Dry Your Eyes" (:45)
The first 15 seconds of this cut features the intro to Babyface's song "Lovers" (from his debut solo album 'Lovers'), in which the song can be faintly heard in the background. "Dry..." is from the Deele's third album 'Eyes Of A Stranger' is only available on the original release of that album and their imported greatest hits collection. What is unique with this track is that because of a delay in the release of 'Eyes...', 'Lovers' was actually released first.

THE DEELE - "Eyes Of A Stranger" (Reprise) (:22)
When the re-issue of this album was released, this 1:18 song was left off. It's merely an a capella repeat of the chorus, but if you listen closley enough, you can hear the electric guitar in the background.

DESTINY'S CHILD - "Can't Help Myself" (:30)
This very hard to find track was co-written by Face, and only appears on a promo copy of the group's single "Get On The Bus". It was originally produced for TLC, but was not released. (Thanks to Seb for the clip!)

KEVON EDMONDS - "More To Love" (:30)
Left off of the the U.S. version of his solo debut '24/7', this Babyface written and produced track is a bonus on the Japanese release.

A FEW GOOD MEN - "Southern Girl" (:19)
The initial release of the LaFace album 'A Thang For You' contained this Babyface-written song, but when the album was "accidentally" released and recalled, the official release of the album, retitled 'Take A Dip', did not have this song on it.

JERMAINE JACKSON - "Word To The Badd!!" (:30)

JERMAINE JACKSON - "Word To The Badd!!" (Prelude) (:51)
Along with the above selection, this short prelude clip can only be found on the promo CD single, leading into the above song. It contains clips about the Jackson 5's break-up, and Jermaine's decision to go solo and stay with Motown Records.

DRU HILL - "These Are The Times" (:30)
Rare a capella version with interesting opening music.

SIEDAH GARRETT - "Refuse To Be Loose" (:29)
This late 80's L.A. & Face song is no longer made on CD, but it can still be found. Even though the two didn't originally produce the song, they put together this remix.

GARY L. - "Time (Time To Party)" (:22)
The credits on the label list Babyface as co-writer as well as one of the mixers (with Paul Scott), although by listening to the song, it doesn't sound like a typical Face track. This 1987 song came out right around the time Kenneth Edmonds became "Babyface".

CAT MILLER - "Beat My Face" (:29)
The song may sound violent, but is actually just about putting on make-up. L.A. and Babyface take a crack at one of their first jobs of remixing (without having to do with any other part of the song); from 1986.

OUTKAST - "Jazzy Belle" (:23)
Babyface sings the somewhat risqué background vocals on this remix.

PEBBLES - "Do Me Right" (:25)
They didn't originally have anything to do with this song, but L.A. Reid and Babyface remixed this from Pebbles' first album, and includes new backing vocals from Face.

This L.A. & Babyface-produced remix clip features additional lyrics not on the standard version of the song.
